Student Paper Travel Award!

Student Paper Travel Award!

APA Convention 2010 · San Diego CA · August 12th - 15th

Sponsored by the Student/Early Career Psychologist Committee of
Division 42 – Psychologists in Independent Practice

Deadline for Submission of Proposals:  March 31, 2010
Cash prizes of $500 each will be awarded to the top four papers!

We seek three - five page paper submissions of relevance to the independent practice of psychology. Papers shorter than three pages or longer than five pages will not be accepted. Your paper may be based on your own empirical study or a theoretical essay. The paper may focus on such topics as professional development issues, assessment/psychotherapy/counseling techniques, training issues, unique case studies, etc.

Papers must be in APA format and have citations where appropriate.

As this is a travel award created to assist our students in defraying travel costs, all winners will be expected to attend the Convention and the Division 42 Social Hour. Winners will be honored at the Division 42 Social Hour, an extremely popular annual Convention event with hundreds of psychologists in various types of independent practice in attendance. This is an important and fun way to make connections with other students as well as early-, mid-, and senior-career psychologists.

The paper author must be a current doctoral student and a member of Division 42.
